Hi there and welcome.  My name is Gary Roberts,  and I am a native of Murphy, North Carolina.  I also am an Associate Broker with Remax Mountain Properties,  a Christian who is a member of Little Brasstown Baptist Church,  a husband for 25 wonderful years and a father of three girls.  I also am a fisherman, classic auto buff, Jeep enthusiast, computer geek, and North Carolina licensed General Contractor.  I started this blog to have a way to get out to the world some of the information about this wonderful area I call home, and to give my clients and customers a way to see into this variety vacationland that I get to enjoy every day. I am also a lifetime multi-million dollar producer and member of the Mountain Lakes Board of Realtors, North East Georgia Board of Realtors, North Carolina and National Boards of Realtors.  And a member of the NRA. Enough about me, the important thing is that I, and this site, am here for you. My goal is to educate and inform, and maybe along the way I can make a living helping good people find a nice second or retirement home here in the mountains that I love so much. Now that I have that out of the way,  I just truly love the mountains, and helping others find thier “peace” of them is what I do every day. This area is very unique in that we are a couple of hours from Atlanta, Ga, Asheville, NC, Chattanooga, TN, and Knoxville, TN. We are a days drive from Florida or Ohio and have plenty of folks from all areas. My focus is vacation and retirement homes, and most of my customers and clients fit in the “Baby Boomer” generation, like myself.

Most of our buyers come from Florida, with Atlanta, GA ranking second then all points north and south. We have four distinct seasons, but none are too severe.  Welcome, enjoy, and feel free to add or contact me with any questions.
